Province Council

Ten years after the founding of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Grand Polemarch George F. David, II (Delta Chapter-1915), third Grand Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi (who was also a former Grand Lieutenant Strategus, Editor of the Journal and Grand Vice Polemarch) and the first Grand Polemarch who had not been nurtured by the Alpha Chapter under the influence of the Founders, proposed dividing the Fraternity into supervisory districts.

In 1925, at the 15th Grand Chapter Meeting,  Grand Polemarch Earl B. Dickerson changed the designation of the supervisory districts, which were called "Regions", to "Provinces".  Also, the name "Regional Director" was changed to "Province Polemarch".

Since 1926, Provinces of the noble klan of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. have been gathering once a year for what is known as the Province Council Meeting.

In 2010,  the East Central Province Council will be held in Dayton, Ohio. This years theme will be “One Kappa” and will be hosted by the Dayton Alumni, Xi Tau(Wright State University) and Iota Mu (University of Dayton) Chapters.
